Indo Canadian Psychiatric Association: Annual scientific dinner meeting, Toronto.

Dear friends:

It is with pleasure, the executive committee of Indo Canadian Psychiatric Association would like to invite you to the annual scientific dinner meeting to be held on September 12 2014 in Toronto. It is a privilege to have Prof.Salman Akhtar, a distinguished speaker from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia amongst us for the evening. Prof. Akhtar is well known to many of us who have attended APA. He is easily one of the most engaging speakers in the field of Psychoanalysis and his ability to make complex concepts understandable is unparalleled.

"Mental Zoo: The role of animals in Human psychopathology and its role in treatment" is the topic for the evening.

We encourage you to register for the meeting at the earliest to avoid disappointment! Let us all make this event a resounding success.

The details of the location are in the brochure. I request you to email or call Dr.Natarajan to register for this meeting.

Indo Canadian Psychiatric Association

It is with great pleasure that I write to you as the President of the Indo Canadian Psychiatric Association. This organization has come a long way with the support from all of you and it is important that we continue to nurture this organization and grow progressively to accomplish the goals and objectives of the ICPA.

Our Membership continues to grow and we have to focus on the younger generation to take the leading role. The Canadian Psychiatric Association is supporting the ICPA by granting a SECTION status and we were able to contribute series of scientific meetings at various CPA annual conference venues over the past 4 years. It is my wish that we continue to provide these high quality scientific meetings and work shops on regular basis.

The ICPA must work closely with the Indian Psychiatric Society and help in providing training and research opportunities to the residents in India. Over the past 3 years we have been contributing to the Continuing Professional Activities of the IPS.

Once again I thank all the members for their support.

Regards
Dr.D.Natarajan

It is with a heavy heart that we bid farewell to Praful. His untimely and premature passing has not only shortened his life but also left a void that is hard to fill. Our thoughts and prayers must go foremost to his wife, Dilshad and their sons... read more >>
